After we get to know each other on the discovery call, the next step in my design process is the design consultation.
For up to 2 hours in your home, either virtually or in person, we will go through the project as we discussed on the phone- every aspect of it. I will provide creative solutions and recommendations right away. A Consultation may be a one-time service, where I answer all of your questions and give the exact ideas you need to implement those yourself. Alternatively, a Consultation may be the start of a larger project together- it is a fully working meeting where we develop the plan and get into details immediately.

Design & Decorating Consultation
This consult includes up to two hours of intensive and customized design ideas for your home, focusing on the areas we discussed during our initial conversation.
It also includes:
Walk through of each room to determine your style and how you live
Paint color selection, window treatment ideas and solutions, and lighting ideas
Ideas on how to mix patterns, styles, antiques and heirloom pieces
Recommendations for room or furniture layout
Help to define a comfortable budget
Ideas for new furniture and furnishings
Answer any other questions you may have
Styling tips
During the consult, I’ll explain the design process and what to expect. Finally, we’ll review the Letter of Agreement that is required to move forward with a complete design project.
Renovation Consultation
The Renovation Consult offers very specific information about the renovations process, as well as design ideas and solutions.
This consult includes:
Review existing and proposed floor-plans, giving feedback for ideal space and use planning
General material selection ideas for countertops, tile, flooring, etc
Plumbing fixture placement, style, and finish recommendations
Cabinet style and hardware ideas
During the consult, we’ll review of what is involved in a renovation. They are a unique type of project, and the key to success is in the planning. I will walk you through the steps that occur with almost every type of renovation.
We will also talk through how to think about the design of the adjoining rooms to your new space. What’s old sometimes needs a bit of help to look good with what’s new!
Within a few days of the Consultation, I will send you a complete summary of everything we discussed. In some cases, this enables you to execute a new layout or paint scheme by yourself. Alternatively, it lays out the exact plan for what comes next in a larger project- room by room, with all details listed on how we will move forward as well as any decisions that were made at the time of the consultation.
This summary is yours to keep and use as a resource for selections that are made by you independently, or to use as the project moves forward.

During this free discovery call, we’ll talk about your project. We might share a few laughs as we get to know each other.
Design Consultation
Following the discovery call, we arrange a 2-hour in-person consultation where we can dig into the details.
Consultation Summary Packet
After our time together, I will send you a complete recap document of what we discussed. It will include all of the decisions and recommendations that were made.
